Real Madrid Transfer News: Paris Saint-Germain admit they'd like to sign Jese Rodriguez
Real Madrid's forward, Jese Rodriguez, could head to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, admitted newly-appointed manager Unai Emery. The 23-year-old Spanish youngster who rose through the ranks at Real Madrid has lost his place in the team since the arrival of friend and former teammate Alvaro Morata.
Zinedine Zidane is reportedly ready to let Jese leave this summer given he has the right squad to fight for the treble this time around. Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, have lost an icon in Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer - the Swede joined Jose Mourinho at Manchester United on a free.
Even though Emery has overseen the arrival of Hatem Ben Arfa, Jean-Christophe Bahebeck (back from loan) and the promotion of Odsonne Edouard from the Paris Saint-Germain 'B' team, he's looking for another attacking option to partner Uruguayan Edinson Cavani at the front of the pack.
“It’s a possibility, as are other opportunities in the transfer window,” said Emery ahead of PSG’s friendly with Premier League Champions, Leicester, in Los Angeles. “I know Jese well, the club knows Jese well, he is a good player.”
Real Madrid are yet to make significant strides in the transfer window this time around having only secured the signing of Alvaro Morata – triggering his buy-back clause the club inserted when the 23-year-old joined Juventus two seasons ago.
Having been linked with the likes of Paul Pogba, Robert Lewandowski and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the club are yet to stamp their authority and ensure they're able to buy the best players in the market. Madrid were known admirers of Andre Gomes but ultimately lost him to bitter rivals Barcelona.
They're also constantly linked with Chelsea's Eden Hazard but the Belgian ruled out a move away from Stamford Bridge this season around insisting that if he'll to leave, he'll leave after helping the club achieve something great.
Zinedine Zidane is reportedly looking for strikers and a central midfielder but are yet to finalise on anyone. With the window to end in a month's time, the club have the time but may be losing top talent to other clubs.
