Real Madrid transfer rumours

Luka Modric

1) Luka Modric

Luka Modric is close to moving to Spain, with Real Madrid desperate to sign the Tottenham midfielder.

That is the view of Modric’s friend and former Croatia team-mate Mate Bilic, who has claimed Manchester United and Chelsea have competition for the 26-year-old. ‘I’m very good friends with Modric,’ said the Sporting Gijon striker.

‘He wants to play in the Spanish league. He loves the Premier League but he wants to play in Spain. He’s very close to agreeing a move.’

Jose Mourinho and Florentino Pérez  have been long-term admirers of Modric, and see him as an integral part of their plan to win the Champions League. The Special One wants Modric to play alongside Xabi Alonso in central midfield.

The Croatian is currently enjoying a break following his side’s elimination from Euro 2012. The 26-year old is hungry to play for a title-contending team and has been trying to leave White Hart Lane since last year. The Croatian will leave Tottenham and England. Despite interest from Manchester United and Chelsea, it is all but agreed that he is to play his football with Jose Mourinho next season at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Reports claim that Modric will soon sign for Madrid in exchange for Nuri Sahin and additional 25-30 million Euros. But this deal has apparently hit a snag as Nuri Sahin is unwilling to play for Spurs.

Jose Mourinho still likes the Turkish international midfielder, but his career at Madrid has stalled due to injuries and strong competition for places. Tottenham have agreed to the deal for two reasons. They have an instant replacement in 23-year old Sahin, and Modric will not be playing for one of their league rivals.

2) Lucas Moura

Lucas Moura

According to the newspaper “Estado”, Real Madrid are keen to sign Sao Paolo’s 19-year old star Lucas. This would easier than hunting for the services of another young Brazilian, Neymar of Santos. He is believed to be the main target of Jose Murinho to strengthen the attack, and a back-up for injury prone Di Maria. Neymar had been heavily linked with the Madrid giants, but also with Barcelona. Neymar, however, has said “I want to stay here for a little longer. Till about 2014.” He has been advised by the Brazilian coach to move to Europe to improve his game, but his friend Ronaldo has advised patience, so it looks as though Madrid will need to look elsewhere. Many believe it was Lucas, and not Neymar, who was the outstanding player at the Under 20′s World cup, scoring a hat-trick in the final against Uruguay. Lucas who is already in scintillating form, has a contract until 2014 with a release clause of 80 million euros and Sao Paolo have already rejected an offer of 25 million from Inter Milan and 40 million from Chelsea. Even with some hard negotiating, he will not be cheap, but is thought to want a move to Europe.

3) Sergio Aguero
Foot of God

Sergio Aguero-Foot Of God

Manchester City hero Sergio Aguero is a £50million target for Real Madrid.

It was the Argentinian’s last-gasp goal that clinched the Premier League title for City in the 3-2 win over QPR.

Real boss Jose Mourinho now wants to bring him to the Bernabeu. Aguero was signed for £35 million a year ago from Atletico Madrid. He had been coveted by Real for some time – but Atletico were reluctant to deal directly with their bitter rivals from across the city

The interest of REAL MADRID for the MANCHESTER CITY forward comes from the past as they failed – or backed out – to sign the Argentine last season when Atletico Madrid pressured to avoid the transfer at all costs. The theory of a “bridge” period in English Football has always been solid here as Real Madrid wished to wait while things calmed down at their neighbours home.

The news from England is that Real Madrid is preparing a 50M€ offer for Aguero, BUT everything will depend on whether Gonzalo Higuain finally decides to take one of the many offers from Juventus, PSG, Chelsea, Manchester City.

4) Kaka

Kaka

The Kaka -Real Madrid love interest worth 65 million euros has been plagued by injuries and inconsistency, and finally his departure seems to be around the corner.

Kaka has dropped hints while back in his native Brazil, that he will not be playing at Madrid next season. This has alerted his former club AC Milan, as well as Chelsea and Tottenham about a possible transfer. But Madrid are unwilling to entertain any offer less than 25million.

Other players who might be offloaded are Fernando Gago, Ricardo Carvalho, Hamit Altintop, Esteban Granero, Pedro Leon and possible want away stars Gonzalo Higuan and Kaka.

4) David Silva

David Silva

There have been an increase in the number of rumours from the Bernabeu, that Jose Mourinho would be making a 35 million move for the La Roja wide-man David Silva, and despite his form tailing off at Manchester City towards the end of last season, the former Valencia man had a sublime Euro 2012, capping it off by scoring the first goal in their 4-0 final win against Italy. The Daily Mail reports that Mourinho has taken to begging, as he has asked David Silva to hand in a transfer request, but Silva’s agent, Julio reports that the 26-year-old midfielder is happy in Manchester and has no desire to play for the Spanish club.

5) Carlos Tevez

Carlos Tevez

Jose Murinho is also believed to have made a shock bid for Carlos Tevez, and brink back the sensational partnership with former Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo. He is another player that has been linked to the club, and he would be a great fit.  Tevez could be sold in order for Robert Mancini to get funds for Arsenal want-away Robin Van Persie. Tevez’s energy and versatility would be a great help to Real Madrid next season.

The major worry for fans would be the problems Tevez had with Robert Mancini and Manchester City during the last year. With Jose Mourinho in charge, there would be no such discipline issues, and the Portuguese manager would get the best out of the Argentine attacker in the process.

Bayern Munich wants to sign Germany international Sami Khedira, but Real Madrid will only entertain their advances if Bastian Schweinsteiger is allowed to move in the other direction, according to Spanish newspaper Sport. Mourinho is thought to be a long-time admirer of Schweinsteiger, and Real have been linked with a move for him several times in recent years. Philip Lahm is also believed to be in the radar of Real Madrid.
