Reports: Arsenal and Tottenham ready final bid for Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata: Promising young talent

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are readying their final bid for Real Madrid striker and Juventus target Alvaro Morata, who is all set to leave the Spanish capital this summer, according to the Daily Express.

Morata, 21, has a release clause with Real Madrid of £20 million and Italian champions Juventus are reported to have made their final bid in the region of £16m, forcing both north London clubs into action.

Arsenal were rumoured to be signing M orata in January but no move was made after Carlo Ancelotti – Real Madrid manager – made it clear the young Spaniard was not leaving the club.

Spurs then registered their interest in Morata once the season had finished and are looking for a replacement for Roberto Soldado, who scored just six goals in the Premier League last season. They will be keeping top scorer Emmanuel Adebayor beyond the summer and into next season but Morata could be the ideal young replacement for Soldado.

Both north London rivals are thought to be lining up their final bid for Morata to try and nip in front of Juventus for his signature. Their bids will have to be in the high-teens and rival Juve’s £16m, or the Spanish giants will allow him to join the Italian club.
