Reports: Barcelona's Dani Alves will move to Manchester United next year

Reports suggest that Dani Alves might be moving to Manchester United

Reports indicate that an agent in Spain has revealed that Barcelona’s defender Dani Alves will move to Manchester United next summer. The right back has only a year left at Nou Camp and will be free to make a new deal with any other club from January 2015.

FIFA agent Francois Gallardo told Spanish TV show Neox that a deal has already been negotiated with the Manchester club for the Brazilian defender, saying, “The player will leave Barcelona next season. He has signed a preliminary agreement with Manchester United.”

Alves a potentially good fit

The 31-year-old footballer’s own agent has already been infuriated with the Nou Camp officials and has hinted his move in the new year. Samba star Dani Alves has had an outstanding career at Barcelona since joining from Sevilla in 2008 and he will be a big pick for United on a free transfer.

Louis van Gaal would apparently love the right back’s addition to the Red Devils’ line-up which is currently in experience and form. Chelsea and Liverpool are also clubs who have expressed their interest in the defender but it seems Alves will look for the Old Trafford club as its been rumoured that Rafael has not impressed the Dutch manager.
