Reports: Juventus looking to sign Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata
What’s the rumour?
Reports from Daily Mail claim that Juventus are keen to sign Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata this summer. Morata made the switch to London from Real Madrid only last year.
In case you didn't know...
Because of limited playing time, Alvaro Morata decided to leave Real Madrid and join Chelsea last summer for a club record £60 million deal. Despite the occasional brilliance, Morata has found it difficult to settle in at the club
He has scored 14 goals in 41 games for Chelsea this season but his contract runs out only in 2022.
The heart of the matter
Juventus are in the market for a striker this summer as both Gonzalo Higuain and Mario Mandzukic are into their 30s and may not be able to play every week. They see Morata as an ideal buy who can spearhead their attack next season.
Morata previously spent two years at the Italian club, scoring 27 goals in 93 games and, in the process, winning consecutive domestic doubles. Allegri wants a reunion with the player who is held in very high regard by their hierarchy.
They hope to take advantage of his situation at Chelsea.

Despite many outlets reporting the same, there isn't any credible information yet about a possible move for the Spaniard.

Author’s take
We have seen many players taking their time to settle in England and Morata is one of them. And Chelsea are not likely to offload their record signing after one season.
However, if a substantial offer comes in for the player and a possible managerial change at Chelsea happens, it is anyone's guess if Morata will be shipped back to Italy.
