Reports: Manchester United make £30 million bid for Juan Cuadrado

Manchester United have reportedly made a £30 million bid for Fiorentina’s Colombia winger Juan Cuadrado, with Liverpool also said to be among the other club’s interested in the 26-year-old winger.

The Express believe that, while Liverpool and Arsenal have been mulling over Cuadrado bids, United are to make the first move in the race to sign the winger.

Their alleged bid of £30 million is said to far outweigh what Arsenal and Liverpool were prepared to pay, but falls some way short of the £40 million that Fiorentina would like for the Colombia international.

With Bayern Munich and Barcelona also rumoured to be interested in Cuadrado they are optimistic of getting that, meaning that United would have to up any offer submitted.

Cuadrado has been one of the stand-out players in Colombia’s run to the World Cup quarter-finals, scoring once and providing four assists.

The 26-year-old scored 11 goals and provided five assists for Fiorentina last season, but has only recently become fully owned by the Italian side, who struck a deal with Udinese to take full control of his economic rights prior to the World Cup.
