Reports: Paris Saint-Germain eye Premier League midfielder
What's theĀ rumour?
As per reports from French outlet L'Equipe, Paris Saint-Germain have been offered Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere. He will be a free agent at the end of the season.
Negotiations have stalled over a new contract and it is widely expected that the Englishman will leave the London club.
In case you didn't know...
An Arsenal youth product, Wilshere has been at the London club for almost 17 years. He made his debut for the first team in September 2008 but a number of injuries have derailed his career. He also had to go on loan to Bolton and Bournemouth.
The 26-year-old has made almost 200 appearances for Arsenal but his contract runs out at the end of the season and he has not been able to agree to terms with the club yet.
The heart of the matter
Following Unai Emery's departure, PSG are expected to strengthen their team. New manger Thomas Tuchel will be at the helm from next season as he will try to take the club to the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League.
Wilshere has enjoyed one of his best ever seasons at the club and seems to have put his injury concerns behind. He has made 40 appearances for the club this season in all competitions.
So, as per the report, he has been offered to the French giants who may make a move for the midfielder this summer.

Author's take
Wilshere has enjoyed a decent season and it will be a risky move from Arsenal to let him leave this summer as they already lack quality options in the middle of the park.
If the player is willing to move abroad, he can be an excellent addition for PSG and may turn out to be one of the best bargain buys in recent times.
