Reports: Real Madrid told to pay staggering €200 million for Premier League star
What's the rumour?
As per reports from Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid have received information about the valuation regarding their interest in two-time Premier League golden boot winner - Harry Kane.
The President of Tottenham Hotspur, Daniel Levy has reportedly set his minds on an asking price when Real Madrid come calling in the summer. Levy allegedly intends on demanding for a staggering fee of €200 million for Spurs asset, Harry Kane.
In case you didn't know...
Both Real and Tottenham are no strangers when it comes to making transfers between each other. Previously, both the clubs were involved in deals which saw Luka Modric and Gareth Bale move to the Bernebau in successive years.
But, back then, the process and time for the completion of transfers took longer than expected due to the resistance and unwillingness of Spurs to sell their aces. This time, the case may be different as it looks like Daniel Levy is going to be open to the sale.
The heart of the matter
Levy is believed to be willing to listen to offers for Kane and may be ready to sell him to the Spanish giants if they match his demands.
Kane is seen as a direct replacement for Karim Benzema, who has had his struggles both with injuries and in front of goal. Kane will be one of the primary targets for Los Blancos, as they look to revamp their squad in the summer

One of the factors of Kane switching London to Madrid could also be influenced by Mauricio Pochettino. Should Zidane fail to win the UEFA Champions League, it may result in Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez replacing Zidane with the current Spurs boss, according to reports from Sky Sports.
Pochettino is reportedly one of the sole candidates who has been lined up as a potential replacement for Zinedine Zidane. Kane broke into the Spurs first team in 2014 and since then has repaid the faith shown in him. He has had the full support of the Argentinian since the beginning and Pochettino's decision to move to Madrid may be followed up by Kane too.

Author's take
An offer from Real Madrid is something which is hard to refuse. If Zidane fails to win any trophy this season, primarily the Champions League, the chances of Pochettino landing the job becomes more likely.
Similarly, failure to win any silverware at Spurs, come the end of the season, may force Kane to part ways with the London club and follow Pochettino to the Spanish capital.
With the duo having built a strong bond together at Spurs, a move to Spain for Kane will definitely take his career to new heights and by having his current coach by his side may help in acclimatizing and settling in a foreign country.
