Reports: Samuel Eto'o on the verge of joining Sampdoria
Samuel Eto’o has reportedly agreed a two and half year deal at Italian club Sampdoria. The contract comprises a fee of €30,000 per week and a clause for “Samuel Eto’o: The Movie”. As reports are adding, the movie will feature the Cameroon legend’s life. The 33-year-old’s, currently with Everton, contract is until next summer, but it includes a break clause which allows him to leave early.
The reports regarding a movie on the player’s life sound too good to be true, but, Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero happens to be a film producer and hence the movie clause might just be conceivable.
Meanwhile, director of the Italian club Carlo Osti in his statement told Sky Sport Italia, “Eto’o has been a great operation on the transfer market”
He further added, “We have an agreement with him and now are just waiting for him to free himself from Everton.”
Osti also confirmed that Sampdoria have reached out to Luis Muriel and have agreed terms with Udinese Calcio for the player. Osti believes that Muriel is “a great investment for the club to raise the quality level.”
