Pep Guardiola responds to Franck Ribery's criticism
Berlin, July 29 (IANS) Bayern Munich's French veteran winger Franck Ribery is still exchanging criticism and praise with the former chief coach of the football club, Spanish Pep Guardiola.
“About Ribery I must say I love him very much, It's good that Ribery says I'm young. I'm here to learn.” Guardiola told Bild about Ribery, from the Chinese city of Shenzhen where his current club, Manchester City, won a pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund.
Ribery had said how comfortable he is with the new Bayern coach, Italian Carlo Ancelotti, saying he feels more freedom with him, reports Efe.
The French Winger had earlier criticized Pep about his inexperience in management:
“Pep didn't have a long career as manager. He is a young coach. He lacks experience. Sometimes he talks too much. Football is very simple."
At the same time Ribery also complemented his new boss Carlo Ancelotti. Speaking to Kicker he said, “Under Ancelotti, I finally feel like I'm trusted again, He's an awesome coach and I need people like him or Jupp Heynckes and Ottmar Hitzfeld.
Ribery did not play much under Pep last season but has started his pre-season to 2016/17 with a bang with dazzling displays against Manchester Ctiy and AC Milan
