Video: Riyad Mahrez takes out three Aston Villa players with one move
Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez stunned the crowd at the Kings Power stadium on Sunday with his phenomenal skills. Leicester who were 0-2 down to Aston Villa an hour into the game, had Mahrez to thank for defeating Aston Villa 3-2 at full time.
In the first half of the game, Mahrez performed a brilliant fake in front of the penalty box that sent three players sliding, he took the move a step too far though and was not able to get anything from it. The fake though was top class, as it was seen that all three Aston Villa players were totally done.
The Algerian has been one of the best performers for the Foxes this season and has managed to score four of their 11 goals this season. He is currently the league's joint top scorer along with Swansea’s Bafétimbi Gomis and Bournemouth's Callum Wilson.
In the game against Aston Villa, he got two assists to his name, one which was converted by Ritchie De Laet and the other by Nathan Dyer.
The 24-year-old joined Leicester from French side Le Havre in 2014. Although he had a rough start with the team who themselves were in trouble at the time, he has begun this season in an explosive fashion. He was praised by manager Wes Morgan in the season opener against Sunderland where he scored two goals as he turned out to be the match winner for his side.
With a majority of the season remaining it is to be seen if the player can keep up his good form.
