Manchester United forward Robin Van Persie become Europe’s top scorer in World Cup qualifiers followed by Arsenal‘s Mesut Ozil who shares a third place.
The Netherlands international fired 11 goals in 10 appearances for his country, who topped Group D. Holland maintained an impressive unbeaten run, with Van Persie converting a penalty for his country against Estonia to tie the match 2-2.
The Dutchman took his tally to 41 goals in 79 appearances when he scored an impressive hat-trick during his countries 8-1 drubbing of Hungary on Friday. Van Persie has displaced Patrick Kluivert as the Netherlands’s highest scoring player.
Netherlands, who have topped their group, could appear in the World Cup finals once again.
Arsenal new-boy Mesut Ozil was the top scorer for Germany, who topped their group, with 8 goals.
Manchester City forward Eden Dzeko came a close second with 10 goals.
Robin Van Persie’s Manchester United team-mate Wayne Rooney was his country’s top scored with 7 goals.
