Rumour: AS Roma snub offers from Manchester United and PSG for Miralem Pjanic
Despite the transfer window being in its first week, Roma have revealed that they have already turned down a number of bids for midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
The midfielder has been linked with Paris Saint Germain, as well as Premier League duo Manchester United and Tottenham, but Roma insisted to Italian media that the 23-year-old is not for sale.
Bosnian international Pjanic has made 17 Serie A appearances for Roma this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists. He joined Roma from Lyon in 2011 in a deal reportedly worth €11 million and has been heavily linked with a move back to France with PSG.
However Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini refuted talk of a move, telling Gazetta dello sport that; “We have had many offers for Miralem.”
“And not necessarily from PSG. For the moment he’s for sale.”
Manchester United and Tottenham are both also said to be keen on Pjanic, who has scored eight goals in 48 appearances for his country. However they may have to wait if they are to get their man, with Roma taking a firm stance on bids for the player.
