Romania will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent record in the UEFA Nations League when they play host to Kosovo on Friday. Franco Foda’s men travel to the National Arena in search of a fourth win on the spin as they look to move level on points with the hosts at the top of the table.
Romania had to dig deep in their last UEFA Nations League outing as they fought back from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Lithuania at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium on October 15.
Mircea Lucescu’s side, who are 43rd in the latest FIFA World Rankings, have now won their opening four games in the campaign, scoring 11 goals and conceding just twice so far.
Romania, one of just two sides with a perfect record in the Nations League campaign, now take on Kosovo who have failed to win the last three clashes between the sides since June 2023.
Kosovo, however, maintained their fine run of results in the Nations League on October 15 when they cruised to a 3-0 victory over Cyprus at the Pristina City Stadium.
Foda’s men have now won three games on the bounce in Group 2 of League C, scoring nine goals and keeping two clean sheets since kicking off the campaign with a 3-0 loss against Romania in September’s group opener.
With nine points from a possible 12 matches, Kosovo are currently second in the group standings, three points behind Friday’s hosts heading into the final two games.
