Romelu Lukaku has exclaimed that he is delighted to see his Premier League rivals take him seriously after his impressive performance last season and so far this season.

The player was loaned out to Everton on his request after he failed to feature in Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho’s plans for the team. He is now proving himself to be a nightmare for his opposition’s defense and has scored 4 goals in 5 matches this season.

He spoke during a press conference after guiding his team to the 2014 World Cup assisting Kevin De Bruyne for a goal in Belgium’s 1-1 draw against Wales.  He said, “After my performances last season and in the last few weeks, they take me very seriously in the Premier League. That is nice.”

“I have always said that I am trying to add that to my game. That assist was important and I am satisfied,” said the 20-year-old on his assist to De Bruyne.
