Ronaldo believes Neymar can be the world's best
Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo believes Brazilian starlet Neymar can become the best player in the world, reports Goal.
The 22-year old Brazilian international was signed by the Catalan giants last summer for a reported fee of €87.2 million, from his native club Santos. Since then, he has went on to make as many as 40 appearances for Barcelona racking-up 15 goals in the process.
Despite the acrimonious rivalry between the two Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, Ronaldo has rhapsodized about his Barcelona adversary that he possesses the potential to emerge as one the world’s best.
“I see Neymar as a great player,” he told SporTV News. “I think in recent times he has proven be a player with a great future.
“His adaptation into Barcelona was not the best, he had some problems at first, but I have no doubt that he has the potential to be one of the best players in the world or even the very best player in the world.”
The Blaugrana forward has managed to conjure some dazzling performances in his debut season with the Catalans, helping them win the record 11th Spanish Super Cup back in August.
However, he is currently recuperating from a foot injury he succumbed during the Kings’ Cup final, 3 weeks ago.
