Arsenal and Chelsea told to pay €75 million to sign Manchester United target - Reports
Arsenal and Chelsea can reportedly secure Benjamin Sesko's services for €75m, according to journalist Philipp Hinze. The Slovenian forward has gone from strength to strength in recent years at RB Leipzig and is among the finest young strikers in the world currently.
The Gunners reportedly wanted to sign Sesko this summer but failed to secure a deal. The 21-year-old opted to sign a new contract with the Bundesliga giants, which could keep him at the club until 2029.
However, there's reportedly a gentleman's agreement between the two parties, which will allow Sesko to leave next summer for an offer of €70-75m. Arsenal are in urgent need of a new striker and may be open to matching that price tag.
However, the Gunners will reportedly face competition from Chelsea as well as Manchester United in the race. The Blues are also eyeing attacking reinforcements in 2025 despite investing heavily in their squad this year.
A new No. 9 remains at the top of their agenda, with Victor Osimhen said to be their priority target. However, the London giants also have Sesko on their radar. Chelsea have invested heavily on talented young footballers of late and the Slovenian fits the bill.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are looking for an upgrade on Gabriel Jesus, who has been a disappointment so far at the Emirates. This season, the Brazilian has scored once in 14 games across competitions.
Sesko, meanwhile, has already found the back of the net seven times in 15 games, while also setting up three more, for Leipzig this term. He could be an upgrade on Jesus at the Emirates.
