Arsenal plotting sensational move for Real Madrid star next summer: Reports
Arsenal are interested in signing Arda Guler from Real Madrid next summer, according to a report by Fichajes.net. The 19-year-old Turkish international is known for his creativity and ability to deliver in front of goal.
However, since joining Real Madrid in July 2023, the youngster has struggled to feature regularly. In the 2024-25 campaign, Guler has registered 12 appearances for Real Madrid, representing only 307 minutes on the pitch.
It is to be noted that five of his appearances were from the bench. This implies that he has struggled to break into the starting XI. His lack of game time could be tied to the level of competition in Real Madrid's attack as Rodrygo is ahead of him in the right-wing.
It’s important to state that the lack of playing time could tempt Guler out of Real Madrid in the coming months. Arsenal are currently one of the clubs that are interested in signing Guler.
A brief overview of the Gunners' right-wing options could indicate that Bukayo Saka is the only natural option. Hence, the Gunners might be looking to sign Guler to compete with Saka. Guler is currently contracted at Real Madrid until June 2029.
As such, Real Madrid might be unwilling to sell him. A possible loan deal could be explored given the current circumstances. If he's signed by Arsenal, his ability to feature as a winger and midfielder could stand to be beneficial for them.
Arsenal are also interested in signing Leroy Sane - Reports
The Gunners are likewise interested in signing Bayern Munich's Leroy Sane, according to a report by Eurosport. In recent times, Sane has proven to be one of the most formidable right-wingers in Europe. This season, he has netted three goals in 11 games for Bayern Munich.
However, Sane's contract with Bayern is set to expire next summer. This could be why the Gunners are currently monitoring the German international.
Bayern Munich might be looking to sell Sane in the upcoming January transfer window, rather than letting him leave as a free agent next summer. As such, a deal with the Gunners might be possible if Sane fails to sign a new contract at Bayern.
The Gunners will reportedly have to defeat the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona in the race to sign Sane.
