Turkish giants Besiktas have slapped a €25-30 million asking price on Arsenal target Semih Kilicsoy after the youngster impressed in the 2023-24 season. Kilicsoy has been on the radar of multiple sides since breaking out at the Turkish side and debuting for the national team.
Turkiye were one of the surprise packages of Euro 2024 this summer, reaching the quarter-finals of the competition before exiting at the hands of Netherlands. They fielded a talented squad with several highly-rated teenagers featuring throughout the tournament. One such player was Kilicsoy, who played just once, in the match against Netherlands, in Germany.
Arsenal have not hidden the fact that they are on the lookout for a new striker this summer, with the futures of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah up in the air. CaughtOffside reports that Kilicsoy, who has been extensively scouted by the Gunners, will be available for just €25-30 million this summer.
Arsenal are not the only side keen to add the precocious 18-year-old to their roster, as Besiktas have already turned down bids for the versatile forward from Fulham and Aston Villa. The Gunners may return to the negotiating table to try and land the teenager, who has proven his quality in front of goal.
Kilicsoy scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 35 appearances for his Turkish club in the 2023-24 season. The youngster has played his way into national team conversation, having already picked up three caps for Turkiye at 18.
Besiktas hope to keep the teenage sensation but would be open to selling him if their valuation is met this summer. Arsenal are leading the race for the forward according to recent reports and will be keen to wrap up a deal for him quickly.

Arsenal have confirmed that teenage striker Chido Obi-Martin will be leaving the club this summer as a free agent, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The youngster has turned down an offer from the Gunners to extend his stay at the club and is set to transfer to a different club.
Obi-Martin broke the club's U-18 goalscoring record in 2023-24 when he scored 32 goals in 19 games for their U-18 team. He also featured in the PL2 and UEFA Youth League despite only being 16, a testament to the amount of quality he possesses.
The Denmark U-17 international has offers from England and Germany, with Manchester United reportedly leading the race to sign him. His choice of a new club remains to be seen, but he will make his decision in the coming days and weeks.
