Arsenal willing to make player-plus-cash offer to sign Premier League midfielder with £100m release clause: Reports

Arsenal are reportedly open to a player-plus-cash deal to sign Bruno Guimares from Newcastle United. They are unwilling to activate his release clause worth £100 million but are keen on signing him this summer.

As per a report in FootballTransfers, Arsenal are looking to agree a swap deal with Newcastle United this summer. They are ready to offer players in exchange with cash and the Magpies are ready to listen.

The English publication adds that Oleksandr Zinchenko, Emile Smith Rowe, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Eddie Nketiah, and Thomas Partey could be offered in a possible deal. The aforementioned stars are not in Mikel Arteta's plans and were made available for transfer.

Guimares has admitted that he is unsure about his future and was quoted TeamTalk as saying:

"Look, my future, to be honest, is in God's hands. I have a contract with Newcastle, I'm very happy, as I said, I know how much they like me, I know everything I've been doing for the club. In short, I have a contract, I'm happy.
"I don't know what can happen, we know everything about Financial Fair Play, but what I can say is that I feel happy. It's obviously very nice to be associated with big clubs; it indicates that I'm performing well, but I'm not concerned about it, as I said, I'm happy at the club. I'm very happy, so let's see what happens. I'm not in any hurry, I'm happy, and it's up to God, let's see what happens."

Newcastle United are looking to seal a deal this month as they need the sale to get on the right side of PSR.

Arsenal urged to sign Newcastle United duo by Darren Bent

Darren Bent was on talkSPORT earlier this year and suggested that Arsenal should spend their transfer budget on getting Bruno Guimares and Alexander Isak. He believes that they will improve the squad and said:

"You know what, I'd blow the whole transfer budget on them two. Got £150m to spend. Bruno, [Declan] Rice, [Martin] Odegaard.”

Pundit Andy Goldstein was also on the shot and said:

"If you got those two, that's a squad-and-a-half. Do you know what, I would go as far as to say if you get them two, keep everyone else and sort your left-back situation out, you'll have I think your best possible chance of winning the Champions League the following season."

Arsenal were interested in signing Benjamin Sesko to bolster their attack, but the Chelsea target decided to stay at RB Leipzig.
