Barcelona attacker informs dressing room he wants to leave amid interest from Chelsea: Reports

Barcelona youngster Marc Guiu has reportedly expressed his desire to leave the club amid interest from Premier League side Chelsea. The 18-year-old striker only has one year left on his current deal with the Blaugrana, which would mean that he's likely to leave this summer.

As per SPORT, Guiu has not informed the Catalan club's management about his decision but has let the dressing room know his intentions (via Barca Universal). This season, the youngster managed to appear in three La Liga matches and bagged a goal in 73 minutes of game time.

It is believed that Chelsea and Bayern Munich are interested in acquiring the youngster's services. This report states that the Spain under-19 international has a release clause of €6 million, which the Blues are willing to meet this summer.

Although the Blaugrana seem to want to renew the player's deal, these talks haven't gotten anywhere as of yet. A move to Stamford Bridge may be what Guiu needs, with the west Londoners without a prolific striker at the moment.

Nicolas Jackson played the number nine role for most part of last season, bagging 17 goals in 44 appearances across competitions. Additionally, the Senegal international came under severe criticism for his lack of clinical finishing.

Amid these circumstances, Guiu may have an opportunity to move to Stamford Bridge and establish himself as a starter. Last year, the Blues finished sixth in the Premier League and will participate in the UEFA Conference League in the next campaign.

Barcelona will reportedly allow Robert Lewandowski to decide whether he continues with the Blaugrana or not. According to Diario Sport, the Catalan side are not looking to offload the Poland international but will let him move if the latter wishes to do so (via Barca Blaugranes).

At the moment, Lewandowski is contracted with Barcelona till the summer of 2026. However, this report states that the former Bayern Munich striker is receiving interest from Saudi Arabian clubs.

Lewandowski continues to play a prominent role for his team, having made 49 appearances in the 2023/24 season, bagging 26 goals and nine assists. However, with the player aged 35 and nearing the end of his senior career, a move to Saudi Arabia is certainly on the cards if he opts for a more relaxed environment.
