Barcelona boss Hansi Flick held an emergency meeting with players after their loss to Las Palmas - Reports
Hansi Flick reportedly held an emergency meeting with Barcelona players following their 1-2 defeat to Las Palmas on Saturday, November 30, according to a recent report by Marca (via Sports Mole).
As per the aforementioned report, Flick delayed regular training for about an hour as he spoke to the underperforming squad players. This was done in a bid to restore some degree of focus in the squad.
Attacking talisman Robert Lewandowski was not spared despite scoring 22 goals in 20 games this season. This might be due to Lewandowski's failure to score in three out of his last six games across all competitions.
Flick's frustration could also be tied to Barcelona's failure to secure a win in their last three league games. However, La Blaugrana are still ranked first in the 2024-25 LaLiga standings having registered 34 points from 15 games. They are closely followed by Real Madrid who have a game in hand and have registered 33 points from 14 games.
La Blaugrana will look to bounce back as they are set to take on Mallorca in the league tonight, (December 3).
Barcelona interested in signing Mason Greenwood from Olympique Marseille - Reports
Barcelona are presently monitoring Mason Greenwood and they could bid for the Englishman next summer, as per TBR Football (via Managing Barca). It is believed that his potential transfer fee could be in the region of €55 to €60 million.
Since joining Marseille in July 2024, Greenwood has been exceptional in attack. This has seen him score nine goals and register two assists in 13 games. His outstanding start to the campaign hasn't gone under the radar as Real Madrid and Barcelona are reportedly looking to sign him next summer.
The Catalan giants could be looking to sign Greenwood in a bid to enhance their right-wing. They could also be looking to provide a competitor for Lamine Yamal in the right-wing. If signed, Greenwood's ability to feature in multiple attacking positions could stand to be pivotal.
However, his potential signing might not come cheap as he's contracted at Marseille till June 2029. It remains to be seen if Barca could pull off this deal ahead of arch-rivals Madrid.
