Barcelona boss Hansi Flick includes Premier League duo in 3-man elite goalkeeper replacement shortlist after injury to Ter Stegen: Reports

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has reportedly made Premier League goalkeeping duo Alisson Becker and Stefan Ortega two of three options to replace Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The Blaugrana are in the market for a new goalkeeper amid the German shot-stopper's ruptured patella tendon that requires surgery.

Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that Flick has already constructed a three-man shortlist to replace Ter Stegen. He'll be without his compatriot for the rest of the season, meaning January could be vital for the Catalans.

Alisson, 31, features on the list, although the La Liga giants might have problems convincing Liverpool to part with the veteran shot-stopper. He is regarded as arguably the greatest goalkeeper in Europe and has three years on his contract.

The Brazilian arrived at Anfield six years ago and has become a hero with the Merseysiders. He's kept 177 clean sheets in 268 games across competitions.

Liverpool have signed a new goalkeeper, Valencia's Giorgi Mamardashvili, but he's spending the season at the Mestalla. The Georgian will join Arne Slot's side next summer, perhaps paving the way for Alisson to depart.

Manchester City's Ortega is another one of Flick's targets amid an impressive rise at the Etihad. The German is playing backup to Ederson but has caught the eye with several stunning performances.

Ortega, 31, appeared 20 times across competitions last season, helping Pep Guardiola's side keep eight clean sheets. He has just over a year left on his contract.

Neither of those goalkeepers' fees has been disclosed, but Barcelona do know the price of their other target, Mike Maignan. The AC Milan goalkeeper is also on their list, and he's valued at around €50-60 million.

Maignan, 29, has been excellent at the San Siro, keeping 45 clean sheets in 116 games. France's No.1 could be the most attractive of the trio with regards to becoming Ter Stegen's long-term replacement

Barcelona could use the free agent market to secure a replacement at no cost. The Catalans have several options including former Real Madrid goalkeeper Kaylor Navas who is without a club after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

Diario AS has drawn up a list of free agents who could come in as Ter Stegen's replacement. Navas is joined by former Liverpool shot-stopper Loris Karius, veteran Czech goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik and ex-PSG man Sergio Rico.

Spanish journeyman Edgar Badia, who last played for Real Zaragoza, is another option. Jordi Masip, Kristoffer Klaesson and Jiri Pavlenka are also free-agent options for Barcelona.
