Barcelona boss Hansi Flick pushing to sign 26-year-old Serie A star wanted by Real Madrid and Manchester City: Reports

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is reportedly keen on signing midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, who is also wanted by Real Madrid and Manchester City. The 26-year-old is currently playing for AC Milan and his contract is valid until the summer of 2028.

Reijnders put in an impressive performance in AC Milan's 3-1 win against Real Madrid away in the UEFA Champions League on November 5, scoring a goal as well. His display drew the attention of multiple prominent clubs.

Spanish outlet Fichajes.net have reported that Reijnders is on Barcelona's list for a potential transfer, with Hansi Flick attempting to strengthen his squad’s midfield. The Dutchman is also of interest to Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur along with reigning LaLiga champions Real Madrid, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.

Reijnders arrived at San Siro from AZ Alkmaar on a five-year contract for a reported fee of around €20 million in July 2023. AC Milan have reportedly estimated the midfielder at around €50 million.

Reijnders has netted seven goals and provided three assists in 18 appearances across competitions for AC Milan this season. Recently, some reports also suggest that the Rossoneri may offer him a contract extension in 2025.

Barcelona and Real Madrid reportedly in race to sign Diogo Dalot

Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly set to face off to sign Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot. The 25-year-old's current contract at Old Trafford is valid until the summer of 2028.

Los Blancos are having an injury-riddled season so far, losing Daniel Carvajal, and Éder Militão to ACL injuries for the rest of the ongoing campaign. David Alaba is still out injured while Lucas Vazquez also suffered an injury earlier this season. The Spanish giants are reportedly looking to make additions to their defense line in the upcoming transfer window.

Hansi Flick, meanwhile, will be looking to bolster his squad at Barcelona and is reportedly considering Diogo Dalot as a good potential addition. Caught Offside reported that Los Blancos have already reached out to Manchester United to sign the Portuguese star in the January transfer window.

Dalot has contributed to eight clean sheets while recording two assists in 21 appearances across competitions for Manchester United so far this season.
