Barcelona looking to part ways with 3 central defenders in the summer transfer window - Reports
According to Diario Sport, Barcelona are looking to part ways with Mikael Faye, Clement Lenglet and Eric Garcia this summer.
Lenglet had a good loan spell at Aston Villa during the 2023-24 season. The Frenchman, however, seemingly doesn't have a future at the club and an exit is the best option for all interested parties.
As for Garcia, he spent the season on loan at Girona and will also return. Faye, meanwhile, is considered one of the brightest defensive prospects in the club's academy. However, he has struggled for game time.
Inigo Martinez is another player whose future is uncertain but recent reports suggest that the Spaniard would stay at the club. Hence, the likes of Faye, Lenglet, and Garcia could be shown the door.
Barcelona have Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, and Jules Kounde in their ranks. Pau Cubrasi's rise has been very prominent as well. Hence, the aforementioned three players face uncertain futures and are likely to be sold.
As for Faye, the young Senegalese is a top talent but could struggle for game time next season. Hence, a loan transfer, or even a permanent exit could be on the cards for him. FC Porto are reportedly among the interested parties for Faye this summer.
