Barcelona make decision regarding Robert Lewandoski's continuity at the club - Reports

Barcelona bringing in a new striker is reportedly not one of the club's top concerns at the moment. This is according to journalist Moises Llorens, meaning that Robert Lewandowski could remain at Camp Nou for another campaign (via Barca Universal).

There was speculation surrounding the future of the Poland international, who only has two years left on his deal with the Catalan side. As per the aforementioned report, Lewandowski is still considered a key player despite the striker entering the final leg of his career.

The former Borussia Dortmund attacker is now 35 but did play a prominent role in Bracelona's 2023/24 season. Last campaign, he made 49 appearances across competitions for the Blaugrana, bagging 26 goals and nine assists.

Lewandowski himself seemingly hinted at the fact that he wished to remain with his current employers during an interview in late May. He told Mundo Deportivo (via 90 min):

"Of course, for me it is super clear. I want to win many titles with Barcelona and I am sure that next season we will be even stronger and we will also win titles."

With Marc Guiu leaving the club and uncertainty over the future of Vitor Roque, Lewandowski's role in the number nine position will become more important. If the Catalans fail to sign another striker, they will need to turn to Ferran Torres to provide cover in case of any mishaps with their Polish attacker.

Turkish outfit Fenerbahce are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona attacker Ansu Fati this summer. According to SPORT, the club's sporting director, Mario Branco, has already contacted the player's agent, Jorge Mendes, over a potential move for the 21-year-old (via Tribal Football).

Fati is seemingly not in the plans of the Blaugrana and was even loaned out to Brighton last season, where he did not enjoy the best of times. The Spain international managed to make 19 Premier League appearances, bagging two goals and no assists.

Currently, Fati is contracted with the Catalan team till the summer of 2027. Should this deal fail to go through, Fenerbahce are also said to possess an alternative in Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez.

To date, Fati has made 112 appearances across competitions for Barcelona, bagging 29 goals and 10 assists.
