Barcelona ready to sell star player despite impressing at EURO 2024 - Reports
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are open to selling Ilkay Gundogan despite his decent performances at Euro 2024. The Germany international joined on a free transfer from Manchester City last summer. He has since made 51 appearances for the club, starting 45 of those games. He scored five goals and provided 14 assists across competitions last season.
Gundogan is currently playing at Euro 2024 with Germany and has picked up one goal and two assists in two games of the competition. The midfielder's Barcelona contract runs until the end of the 2024-25 season, with the option to extend it for another year.
He has a release clause of €400 million in his contract and as per reports, Galatasaray are interested in the former Borussia Dortmund star. The Germany captain is also on Saudi Pro League clubs' radar.
Barca could look to sell Gundogan as it would guarantee them financial profit for the free signing. However, Gundogan also needs to agree to a transfer in order for a move to happen.
Gundogan has shown his importance in his first season at the club and is one of the experienced key players in the side. Fans will keep an eye on how his future unfolds.
