Barcelona target interested in joining Arsenal on loan this summer - Reports
According to CaughtOffside, Barcelona target Kingsley Coman is interested in joining Arsenal on loan. Coman is expected to leave Bayern Munich this summer.
While the Bavarians would command a fee in the region of €40 million for Coman, a loan move could also be on the cards. As per the aforementioned report, the Gunners could look to bring the Frenchman to the Emirates this summer.
The Catalan club have long been interested in bolstering their winger options. A move for Nico Williams didn't come to fruition as negotiations with Athletic Bilbao stalled. They have shortlisted other names like Luis Diaz, Rafael Leao, and Coman, as per Mundo Deportivo.
Barcelona's interest in Coman has previously been reported. However, the Frenchman's salary could turn out to be a roadblock. Coman is a high earner with a salary of €17 million per season, as per Capology.
Arsenal are also keen on adding a backup for Englishman Bukayo Saka and were previously linked with a move for Portugal international Pedro Neto, who has joined Chelsea. They have now been linked with Kingsley Coman and CaughtOffside has reported that the player could give a green signal to a loan move.
Coman, 28, has played for clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Bayern Munich. He has made 294 appearances for the Bavarians, scoring 63 goals and providing 66 assists.
He is an experienced player with 57 caps for France under his belt. While Coman has struggled with quite a few injuries, he can be a difference-maker when fit.
Former Barcelona and Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez returns to ex-club
Alexis Sachez became a household name in European football during his stints at Barcelona and Arsenal. He was the Gunners' main protagonist between 2014 and 2018.
However, Sanchez made his mark in European football at Udinese (2006-11). The Chilean has now made a return to the Serie A club. During his first stint, he scored 21 goals and provided 20 assists in 112 appearances for Udinese. It's worth keeping an eye on how the 35-year-old fares in his second spell.
Apart from Barcelona and Arsenal, Sanchez played for Inter Milan and Olympique de Marseille. He had a massively underwhelming spell at Manchester United as well.
In his heyday, Sanchez was among the best attackers in world football. While his powers are certainly on the wane, Sanchez is a much more experienced player than his first stint at Udinese.
