Bayern Munich join Manchester United in chase for former Real Madrid star - Reports

Bayern Munich and Manchester United have set their sights on former Real Madrid left-back Theo Hernandez, according to Fichajes.net. The French fullback is currently on AC Milan's payroll and has been in decent form of late.

Hernandez rose through the ranks at Atletico Madrid, before making the switch to Los Blancos in the summer of 2019. However, the player failed to strike a chord at the Santiago Bernabeu and was sold to the Rossoneri in 2021.

Since leaving Real Madrid, Hernandez has transformed into one of the best in his position. The 27-year-old has registered 31 goals and 41 assists from 228 games across competitions for AC Milan to date.

His efforts have already turned heads at Old Trafford. Manchester United are looking for a new left-back amid the injury troubles of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Although both players are back fit and have returned to action, the Red Devils are eager to reinforce the position. They have identified Hernandez as an option for the job.

However, Bayern Munich also have their eyes on the Frenchman. The Bavarians are preparing for life after Alphonso Davies, whose contract is set to expire at the end of this season.

Recent reports have suggested that the player is likely to end up at Real Madrid on a Bosman move next summer. The Bundesliga side are eager to rope in an able replacement for the 24-year-old and have found their man in Hernadnez. The Frenchman is under contract with AC Milan until 2026.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg recently stated that Manchester United have entered the race to sign Canadian superstar Alphonso Davies. The Red Devils are likely to compete with Real Madrid for the services of the Candian left-back.

The Premier League giants are embarking on a new journey under Ruben Amorim, who took charge at the club earlier this month. Manchester United are currently operating in the Portuguese head coach's 3-4-3 formation.

The Red Devils picked up their first win against Bodo/Glimt earlier this week in the Europa League. Amorim has apparently identified the left-back position as an area that requires immediate reinforcement.

Davies' attacking adventure, coupled with his defensive discipline, makes him a fine fit at Old Trafford. However, Manchester United are unlikely to have a free run at the Canadian. Real Madrid have been hot on his heels for a while and remain the favorites for his signature.
