Bayern Munich reach agreement to sign Bundesliga star but deal depends on Manchester United - Reports

Bayern Munich reportedly have a deal in place to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah. According to German outlet Kicker, the move depends on Manchester United completing the signing of Matthijs de Ligt.

The Red Devils have expressed an interest in completing a double swoop for the Dutchman along with defender Noussair Mazraoui, as per football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Once they reach an agreement with the Bavarians, the move for the German centre-back is expected to go through.

Tah played a key role for Xabi Alonso's side as they completed a stunning undefeated campaign through the Bundesliga last term. He made 48 appearances across all competitions for the side, scoring six goals and helping keep 21 clean sheets.

De Ligt, meanwhile, fell down the pecking order a little under former manager Thomas Tuchel, with the likes of Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano preferred over him. He made 30 appearances for Bayern last season, bagging two goals and one assist.

The addition of a central defender is a priority for Manchester United yet again. Following Raphael Varane's departure, they signed 18-year-old centre-back Leny Yoro from Lille for a reported €62 million. However, the Frenchman suffered an injury against Arsenal in pre-season which is set to keep him out of action for three months, making the need for a defender crucial for the Red Devils again.

PSG are looking to sign Sancho.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho. According to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth, Les Parisiens have entered into negotiations for the 24-year-old.

The winger had a public fallout with manager Erik ten Hag after the Dutchman raised concerns over his performances in training. He was virtually shut out from the first team before spending the second half of the campaign on loan at Borussia Dortmund.

He has eventually made up with the Dutchman and has featured in most of Manchester United's pre-season games. Recently, he has also been deployed as a striker as the Red Devils look for options with Rasmus Hojlund's injury.

PSG, meanwhile, will be keen on adding some attacking talent in the window after losing Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer this window. The French superstar left on the expiry of his contract, joining Real Madrid in the summer. Thus, they have expressed interest in Sancho, who is reportedly open to moving to the French capital.
