Bayern Munich star has rejected multiple renewal offers from Bundesliga club, keen on switch to Real Madrid - Reports

Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies has reportedly turned down multiple offers from the German giants with a view to signing for Real Madrid this summer. The Canadian star has been on the radar of the European champions with his contract expiring in 2025.

Real Madrid have made known their interest in Davies, whose contract with his German club is set to expire in the summer of 2025. They are keen on the pacey defender but have yet to find an agreement with his club over his transfer.

Alphonso Davies has been at Bayern Munich since January 2019, having moved there from Vancouver Whitecaps. He has developed into one of the finest left-backs in Europe. Known for his brilliant attacking quality and recovery pace, the 23-year-old is one of the first names on the Bayern Munich team sheet.

Eager to not lose one of their most important players, the German club have sent multiple contract offers to the Canadian international, as per Relevo. He has, however, turned all of them down. Davies is happy to wait for Carlo Ancelotti's side to find an agreement with his club for him to move to Spain this summer.

During the 2023-24 season, Bayern Munich reportedly issued him an ultimatum to accept their offer or bring forward a transfer offer, but nothing has happened on that front. They are aware of the interest in the defender from Spain and will likely be prepared for talks to avoid losing him for free.

Real Madrid have shown in the past that they are content to wait for their targets to become available as free agents, as they did with Kylian Mbappe. They will not pay a ridiculous amount of money to sign Davies and will be happy to sign him for free if the opportunity arises.

Real Madrid set to listen to offers for left-back - Reports

Real Madrid are prepared to listen to offers for 24-year-old left-back Fran Garcia just one year after re-signing him. The Spaniard has failed to nail down a regular berth at the Santiago Bernabeu and the club are now willing to move him on.

Sport reports that the former Rayo Vallecano man, who came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid, doesn't have a future at the club. He played a second-fiddle role to Ferland Mendy last season, starting just 18 games across competitions. With their continued pursuit of Alphonso Davies, he will be best served by leaving the club.

Fran Garcia recorded one goal and six assists in 31 appearances for Los Blancos in 2023-24, accepting a reduced role at his boyhood club. The defender is attracting interest from the likes of Borussia Dortmund and could move permanently this summer.
