Bundesliga side set to beat Liverpool to sign €25 million-rated star - Reports
Sky Sports recently reported that Borussia Dortmund are leading the race to sign Liverpool target Maximilian Beier. The TSG Hoffenheim star is on several top European clubs' radars, with Chelsea also inquiring about the youngster.
Dortmund have reportedly submitted a bid to sign Beier but Hoffenheim want more than the tabled offer of €25 million. The Black and Yellow lost Nicklas Fullkrug earlier this month as the striker joined Premier League side West Ham United.
Beier, 23, meanwhile, impressed with Hoffenheim during the 2023-24 season. He scored 16 goals and provided three assists in 35 appearances across all competitions last season. Beier has also played for Germany twice, including once in Euro 2024.
The young striker is known for his blistering pace and other quality attributes. Liverpool have previously been linked with a move for Beier, as Arne Slot looks to reinforce his ranks during the summer transfer window.
Darwin Nunez has failed to prove his reliability and the Uruguayan striker could do with a back-up. Young Beier seemingly has a bright future and could be an impressive addition to the team.
However, he looks headed to Dortmund, a side that could help him with more ga,e time. Dortmund are looking to build on their previous season, where they finished runner-ups in the UEFA Champions League.
The team have since parted ways with experienced players like Fullkrug and Marco Reus as well as former head coach Edin Terzic. Hence, acquisition of talented youngsters like Beier could be fruitful to Dortmund's cause.
Liverpool set to pocket mega sum from Dominic Solanke's Tottenham move: Reports

Solanke's move to Spurs is not only a big monetary boost to the Cherries as Liverpool would also bag a stunning £10 million. This is from a sell-on clause that was included in Solanke's deal.
Solanke, 26, had an impressive 2023-24 season and netted 19 Premier League goals, ending his campaign with 21 strikes from 42 games. At Spurs, he'd certainly have better service than Bournemouth.
Solanke played 27 times for Liverpool during the 2017-18 season, scoring once and providing one assist. He is a former Chelsea academy product who failed to shine in the Blues' first team. Solanke, in his current form, looks like a different player than the one that failed at Anfield and Stamford Bridge.
