Bundesliga star favors move to Liverpool amid interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid: Reports
Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United target Alphonso Davies would reportedly favor a move to Liverpool next summer. As reported by The Athletic via Teamtalk, the Canada international would prefer moving to Anfield if he does move to England.
Davies is regarded as one of the best left-backs in Europe thanks to his exploits for Bayern Munich. Having joined the Bavarian giants in 2018 from Vancouver Whitecaps FC, he has become a pivotal player for the club.
His blistering pace and ability to dribble past opposition make Davies stand out from most of the top full-backs in Europe. He has made 215 appearances for Bayern Munich till date having contributed 11 goals and 33 assists.
Davies' future at the Allianz Arena has been up in the air for a while now as he is set to enter the final six months of his contract. The 24-year-old looks set to become a free agent in the summer and would be open to agreeing a pre-contract with a foreign club in January.
The left-back's potential availability has made him one of the sought-after names in Europe. Clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United are believed to be keen on his signature.
As claimed by The Athletic via Teamtalk, Davies has no interest in joining Manchester United due to the club's recent struggles. He is thought to be open to a move to Liverpool who are also rumored to be looking to bolster their left-back options.
Liverpool currently have Andy Robertson as their first-choice left-back, with Kostas Tsimikas being a solid deputy. However, the Reds are believed to be looking for the long-term successor to Robertson who is now 30 years of age.
The Reds have tracked Davies for a long time but reportedly do not view the Real Madrid and Barcelona target as a priority. They have been linked with players like Milos Kerkez and Antonee Robinson.
Barcelona set to battle Real Madrid for Liverpool star: Reports
Barcelona are reportedly prepared to go head to head with rivals Real Madrid for the signature of Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold. As claimed by Caught Offside via Bernabeu Digital, Hansi Flick is a huge fan of the Englishman who is Los Blancos' top target for the summer.
Alexander-Arnold is one of the most creative players on the planet despite playing as a right-back and has been instrumental in Liverpool's success. Having come through the Reds' youth ranks, he has made 328 appearances for his boyhood club, racking up 19 goals and 84 assists.
With his current deal at Anfield expiring next summer, the England international has been heavily linked with an exit. Real Madrid have been strongly linked with his services for a while but Barcelona are now looking to hijack the deal, as per reports.
