Bundesliga star not keen on switch to Chelsea despite interest from the Premier League side - Reports
According to MailOnline, Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi is not keen on a switch to Chelsea despite the Premier League side being interested in the attacker. Adeyemi is reportedly keen on continuing playing in the UEFA Champions League after reaching the final with Dortmund in 2023-24.
The Blues, on the other hand, won't be able to offer that as they will play in the UEFA Conference League in 2024-25. Adeyemi, 22, plays as a left-winger and scored five goals and provided two assists in 34 appearances for Dortmund across competitions in 2023-24.
He is a pacey attacker who often makes defenses unsettled with his tricky style of play. A move to Stamford Bridge, though, is not seemingly his priority at the moment.
Chelsea, set to start a new chapter under Enzo Maresca, have already done considerable business in the summer transfer market. Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Omari Kellyman, and Kiernan Drewsbury-Hall are the players who have already joined.
The Blues have also concluded a deal for 17-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Estevao Willian, who will join the club next summer after turning 18.
Chelsea bound Renato Veiga bids goodbye to FC Basel
Fabrizio Romano reported that Chelsea have already concluded a deal to sign Portuguese defensive midfielder Renato Veiga. The versatile player already has his medical scheduled, as per football.london.
Veiga took to Instagram to bid goodbye to his current club, FC Basel. In his latest social media post, Veiga wrote:
"Dear FCB fans, time to say goodbye. I feel the need to thank you for this past season, where you welcomed me and made me feel straight away one of your own."
Basel had their worst season in 25 years last term, finishing ninth in the regular season and second in the relegation playoffs. Veiga acknowledged the torrid times of the club and its supporters and wished them success moving forward.
