According to a report by MARCA, manager Carlo Ancelotti has made his decision concerning Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler's future, amid reported interest from Liverpool. The Turkish international joined the Spanish giants last summer but has been tipped with a move to secure more game time.

Guler played a peripheral part in the team that won La Liga and the UEFA Champions League last season. He played 12 times across competitions and scored six goals in his debut campaign with Los Blancos.

At 19, the midfielder needs consistent football at the highest level to develop to his full potential. Carlo Ancelotti has decided that he will be best served competing for a spot in the Real Madrid team.

The Turkish midfielder has been impressive at Euro 2024, bagging a fine goal in his country’s opening fixture against Georgia. His passing ability and composure on the ball have surely attracted admirers who will be keen to test Real Madrid’s resolve.

Liverpool is reportedly keen to bring in the midfielder, but it looks unlikely now, following the legendary manager’s decision. For now, Arda Guler will be fully focused on his nation's next European fixture against Portugal on June 22.

According to Rafael Leao, Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler is one of the best young players in the world at the moment. The AC Milan and Portugal winger shared how impressed he was by the Turkish midfielder during the lead-up to their clash at Euro 2024.

The Milan winger is one of the most dangerous forwards himself but admitted to the press that he enjoys watching the midfielder, saying (via Get Football News Spain):

“Arda Güler is a great talent. His left foot is magnificent. He’s a player I watch with pleasure.”

Portugal and Turkiye face each other in the second round of group-stage matches at Euro 2024 each with a win to their name.

Portugal beat the Czech Republic 2-1 in their opening game while Turkiye were 3-1 victors at Georgia's expense. Both teams will know a win will be enough to secure qualification to the next stage and will be keen to do so before their final group-stage game.
