Chelsea and Arsenal transfer target attracting interest from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli: Reports
Brentford attacker Ivan Toney, who has been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal for a while, has reportedly popped up as a target for Al-Ahli.
Toney, who missed the majority of last season due to a betting-related ban, has been a topic of speculation for over a year. He is believed to be keen to leave Brentford with his contract set to run out next June.
Now, according to Caught Offside, Al-Ahli have joined the race to sign Toney. They are willing to pay £30 million to Brentford and are ready to offer the Chelsea and Arsenal target a salary of £10 million-a-year.
Toney, who helped Brentford gain promotion to the Premier League in 2021, has scored 36 goals in 83 Premier League appearances so far. He has also recorded 11 top-flight assists for the west London outfit.
Overall, the right-footed striker has found the back of the net 72 times and laid out 23 assists in 141 games in all competitions for Brentford.
Arsenal urged to sign Chelsea-linked striker
Speaking to MyBettingSites.co.uk, ex-Arsenal defender Lauren urged his former club to sign Chelsea target Victor Osimhen. He elaborated:
"Osimhen is a top player... when you score so many goals in the Serie A, where defenders are very tight. They play low blocks and you have to find space to score goals. He has done that and he is a top player and he has been scoring goals every season. If the club signs him, he would be a very good addition. If he comes to the club, [he would be] a fantastic headache for [Mikel] Arteta."
Sharing his thoughts on the 25-year-old Nigerian, Lauren continued:
"The thing is that Osimhen is a different player to what [the Gunners] currently have. As a player, he is very good. He will score goals. I have been watching his tapes and he can score goals off set pieces, he can score when the ball is on the side and he can curl it in. He is very good with his head and also possesses good one-touch finishing inside the box. He is a top player."
Osimhen, whose current deal will run out in June 2026, has reportedly informed Napoli of his desire to secure a transfer away from the club.
The Chelsea and Arsenal target has bagged 76 goals and provided 18 assists in 133 games across all competititons for Antonio Conte's side.
