Chelsea and Manchester United interested in signing Real Madrid star - Reports

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly interested in Real Madrid youngster Joan Martinez Lozano this summer. The youngster has caught the attention of clubs across Europe despite not making a senior appearance so far.

Martinez joined Los Blancos' youth system from Levante Youth last summer. He made five appearances for the Spanish giants' U19 side last season. They have now taken him to the US for their pre-season. He made his debut in the second half in their 1-0 defeat against AC Milan on July 31, putting in an impressive performance.

Martinez's performances have caught the eye of many clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United, as per Fichajes.net. The two clubs are monitoring the Spaniard for a potential transfer but it's unlikely to happen. Martinez wants to succeed at Real Madrid, following in the footsteps of his idol, Sergio Ramos.

On his performance against AC Milan, manager Carlo Ancelotti said in his post-match press conference (via Managing Madrid):

“He has an important potential, he is very young, he has everything a central defender needs, he is very attentive, very good with the ball. He has to improve a lot of things, he can have a future at Real Madrid. He must continue in the youth academy, which does a very good job.”

Martinez notably rejected multiple clubs like Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, and more last summer in favor of a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Agent opens up on Juventus star's links to Chelsea and Manchester United

Juventus forward Federico Chiesa has been linked with a move away this summer, with his agent Fali Ramadani looking for options. As per another football agent, Stefano Caira, the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United have been monitoring the Italian international, as he said:

"He is an outgoing player. The technical plans have changed and evidently the new coach does not see him among the primary players. That said, if he continues to ask for a salary higher than €6 million... I know that West Ham, Manchester United, and Chelsea were following him."

Chiesa joined Juventus from Fiorentina in 2022 and has registered 32 goals and 23 assists in 131 appearances for them. He's had multiple injury issues during his time at the club. With his contract expiring next summer, he could be on his way out this summer.
