Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr fall behind 2 clubs in race to sign Manchester United star Casemiro: Reports
Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr are reportedly behind two other Saudi Arabian clubs in the race to sign Manchester United star Casemiro.
Casemiro, 32, has recently emerged as a potential outgoing for the Red Devils due to his drop in quality over the course of this season. He could be on his way out of his club, who are planning a major squad overhaul under co-owners INEOS' instructions, this summer.
Now, according to GOAL Brasil, Casemiro has attracted attention from Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, and Al-Qadsiah ahead of the upcoming transfer window. He is said to be valued at £30 million, but the Saudi clubs are uninterested in meeting the price tag this summer.
While Al-Ahli and Al-Qadsiah are the two teams most willing to sign Casemiro, Al-Nassr are third in the transfer race. Ronaldo's team have been far from impressed with the star's outings this term and are keen to direct their spending to bolstering other positions.
Casemiro, whose current contract is set to expire in June 2026, could decide to secure a move away from Manchester United in search of a final big payday. He would get the opportunity to play alongside Ronaldo for the third time should he join Al-Nassr this year.
So far, the 75-cap Brazil international has played alongside Ronaldo 122 times for Real Madrid and Manchester United. While he scored twice from the Portuguese's assists, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner scored five times from the Red Devils midfielder's passes.
Since arriving from Real Madrid in a potential £70 million move in 2022, Casemiro has helped Manchester United lift a FA Cup trophy and an EFL Cup crown. He has scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 83 games across all competitions for them so far.

During a recent chat with Gary Neville on The Overlap, Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney was asked to name the greatest footballer of all time. He responded (h/t Mirror):
"Messi, he's just the best ever. I get a lot of stick for saying Messi where it's as if, 'How can you say Messi?' I understand that people can say Messi, people can say Ronaldo. They are both incredible, probably the best two players to ever play the game. For me, Messi has just got that little bit more extra flair, which I like in a player."
Inter Miami's Lionel Messi bagged a staggering 704 goals and laid out 338 assists in 853 appearances at club level before departing Europe.
Rooney's former teammate, on the other hand, netted 701 goals and provided 223 assists in 949 club appearances while he was in Europe.
