Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr will not consider offers for foreign star, keen to keep him at the club: Reports

Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr are reportedly not considering parting ways with Aymeric Laporte amid interest from multiple clubs in the ongoing transfer window. The 30-year-old arrived at the Saudi club from Manchester City in 2023 for a reported fee of £23.6 million. His current contract there is valid until the summer of 2026.

Since his arrival at the Riyadh-based club, Laporte has been an important part of the Knights of Najd's starting XI. He has featured in 17 matches for Al-Nassr this season - all starts - contributing to five clean sheets while scoring three goals.

After lifting the Euro 2024 trophy with Spain in July, Aymeric Laporte has reportedly been the subject of interest from several European clubs. The centre-back has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and Manchester United in the winter transfer window.

Al-Nassr have not considered any offers for Aymeric Laporte in this transfer window, as per journalist Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi. The Knights of Najd believe that the defender is an important part of the squad at this time and have no intention of parting ways with him.

Back in November 2024, during an interview with Spanish radio sports program El Larguero, Laporte was asked about his plans to return to Europe after his contract with Cristiano Ronaldo's side expired. He replied (via GOAL):

"My idea of returning is there. I have all my family here in Europe. Obviously, what better than in Spain. I went there (Saudi Arabia) to play football, not to do other things. So far things have not gone badly for me. While there I have won a European Championship, which is the most beautiful thing I have experienced in my career."

Overall, Aymeric Laporte has helped maintain 18 clean sheets in 56 appearances for Al-Nassr while recording seven goals and one assist.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr suffer blow as 3 key players reportedly set to miss upcoming SPL clash

Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al-Nassr will reportedly be without three first-team players - Marcelo Brozovic, Ayman Yahya, and Abdullah Al-Khaibari - for their upcoming Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Akhdoud. The match is slated for Thursday, January 9, at Al-Awwal Park.

The Knights of Najd are currently fourth on the Saudi Pro League table with 25 points from 13 matches. Being 11 points behind table-toppers Al-Ittihad, they will be looking for a win against Al-Akhdoud. However, their hopes for a victory will be dented due to the three potential absentees' respective injuries and suspension.

Journalist Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi reported that the three players will be absent for Al-Nassr's first Saudi Pro League clash of the year. Marcelo Brozovic, who has started in 17 out of the 18 appearances he has made this season, will be serving a yellow card suspension. Ayman Yahya, meanwhile, is out with a leg injury that he sustained in November 2024 and has missed five matches for the Saudi club.

Al-Khaibari, who has made 21 appearances for Cristiano Ronaldo's side this season, has also been out of the pitch after tearing a muscle fiber in the adductor area in December 2024. He has missed two matches for the club so far.
