Joan Laporta wants Barcelona to sign Bundesliga superstar next summer - Reports

Barcelona president reportedly wants the Catalan giants to secure Bayern Munich wonderkid Jamal Musiala's services next summer. As per Barca Universal, the Blaugrana are eyeing a sensational move for the Germany international.

Musiala is widely regarded as one of the finest talents in world football and the crown jewel of Bayern Munich. However, the Bavarian giants find themselves in a tricky situation with the 21-year-old's contract expiring in June 2026.

As reported by Bavarian Football Works, the Bundesliga giants are ready to do everything in their power to tie Musiala down with a new deal. The report further claims that Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal are all keen on getting the German playmaker's services.

Barcelona are now reportedly looking to enter the race to sign the highly-rated attacking midfielder. However, given their well-documented financial struggles in recent years, they might struggle to win the race for Musiala's signature.

Musiala came through Chelsea's youth ranks before joining Bayern Munich in 2019 where he did not take too much time to showcase his talent. The youngster has made 166 appearances for the German giants till date, contributing 44 goals and 31 assists.

The versatile young midfielder has helped Bayern Munich win a total of seven trophies so far, including four Bundesliga titles. He was also named Germany Player of the Year in 2022 and has scored six goals and provided eight assists in 36 caps for his country.

Barcelona identify Robert Lewandowski's long-term successor: Reports

Barcelona have reportedly set their sights on Viktor Gyokeres as they eye the long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski. As per Spanish outlet Fichajes.net, the Sporting CP star has emerged on the Blaugrana's radar following his exploits for the Portuguese giants.

Gyokeres has been on fire for Sporting CP following his reported €20 million move from Championship side Coventry City in the summer of 2023. The Sweden international scored 43 goals and provided 15 assists in 50 appearances across competitions last season, firing Ruben Amorim's side to the Primeira Liga title.

The Swedish attacker has been scoring for fun this season as well, having contributed seven goals and three assists in five games. Gyokeres's exceptional form has seen him attract interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs such as Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and Chelsea.

Gyokeres reportedly has a €100 million release clause in his deal with Sporting CP and is contracted until 2028. Hence, he is likely to cost a fortune which might be difficult for Barcelona because of their financial situation.

Robert Lewandowski is one of the greatest strikers in the modern era and has served Barcelona well following his reported €50 million move from Bayern Munich in 2022. He has scored 63 goals and produced 18 assists in 99 appearances for the Blaugrana, helping them win two trophies, including one La Liga title.
