Jose Mourinho asks Fenerbahce to sign Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr teammate, SPL club's director in Istanbul to seal deal: Reports

Jose Mourinho has reportedly asked Fenerbahçe to sign Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammate Anderson Talisca from Al-Nassr. Mourinho, who joined the Turkish club in the summer, is keen to add more firepower to his squad.

Alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Anderson Talisca has proven to be an important player for Al-Nassr in recent seasons. The Brazilian forward has already notched up eight goals in 17 appearances for the Knights of Najd in the ongoing season.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Jose Mourinho is interested in bringing Al-Nassr forward Anderson Talisca to Fenerbahçe. Talisca has previously played in Turkey; he represented Besiktas between 2016 and 2018 on loan from Benfica. He recorded 37 goals and 15 assists in 80 appearances while winning the Turkish Super Lig in the 2016-17 campaign.

The abovementioned source also claimed that Al-Nassr’s sporting director, Adrian Esparraga, is in Istanbul to discuss a potential deal for Talisca. The Saudi club is reportedly open to parting ways with the Brazilian forward.

Fenerbahçe are considering including striker Youssef En-Nesyri as part of a swap deal to bring Talisca back to Turkey.

Anderson Talisca joined Al-Nassr in 2021 from Chinese side Guangzhou FC for a reported fee of €8m. In his three years at the Saudi club, he has scored 76 goals and provided 10 assists in 102 appearances across competitions.

Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at Al-Nassr in January 2023, the Portuguese icon has formed a formidable partnership with Brazil forward Anderson Talisca. The two players have been instrumental in the Saudi Pro League club’s resurgence. Their goals, assists, and moments of brilliance have made Al-Nassr a force to be reckoned with domestically and regionally.

Before Ronaldo's arrival, Talisca displayed remarkable goal-scoring prowess for the Knights of Najd, registering 21 goals and two assists in 30 appearances across all competitions in the preceding season. Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival has, however, improved Al-Nassr’s goal-scoring strength, with Talisca often providing the creative spark.

Ronaldo and Talisca have played 48 matches together at Al-Nassr have seven joint goal contributions. In 2023, Talisca threw his support behind Ronaldo in the GOAT debate.
