Kylian Mbappe shares ‘closest’ relationship with 3 players in particular inside Real Madrid dressing room: Reports
Kylian Mbappe is reportedly closest to his France teammates Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Ferland Mendy in the Real Madrid dressing room. This is according to The Athletic journalist Mario Cortegana, who also believes that the former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) man has become close to Brahim Diaz.
Mbappe joined the Spanish giants this summer from the Parc des Princes after his contract with the Parisians expired this summer. It is not surprising to see that the 25-year-old has now found comfort with his national team colleagues.
Tchouameni and Mbappe have played 35 matches together across competitions for club and country, bagging two joint goal contributions. Meanwhile, he's appeared beside Camavinga on 19 occasions for Les Bleus but is yet to record a joint goal contribution.
Of the three, Mbappe has made the least appearances with Mendy (11) for club and country. Since moving to the Santiago Bernabeu, the former Monaco star has played four La Liga matches, bagging two goals and is yet to record his first assist.
As many expected, Mbappe has been deployed in the striker's position by Carlo Ancelotti, with Vincius Junior and Rodrygo on either side of him. However, Real Madrid haven't enjoyed the best start to the new campaign, having racked up eight points in their first four league matches.
This sees Los Blancos placed second in the Spanish top-flight standings, four points behind leaders Barcelona. Once the international break is complete, Real Madrid will be tasked with undertaking a trip to Real Sociedad for a league match on Saturday (September 14).
Club source reacts to Kylian Mbappe's slow start at Real Madrid - Reports
Kylian Mbappe's start to life at Real Madrid hasn't been as stunning as many expected after the Frenchman's move this summer. He came to the team on the back of a disappointing Euro 2024, where he scored just once.
However, a source from the club has stated that the attacker is slowly but surely adapting to life at the Santiago Bernabeu. This source reportedly told The Athletic (via GOAL):
"Has it been as idyllic as reported? No, but it hasn't been a tragedy or something to worry about either. It's as you would expect: an adaptation to a team that has changed a lot and in which he has to find his place. And he is finding it."
Before joining Real Madrid, Mbappe scored 256 goals and assisted 108 in 308 appearances across competitions for PSG. Expect him to start his club's next league match.
