Liverpool and Arsenal keeping tabs on La Liga pair ahead of a potential €75m double swoop in January: Reports

Liverpool and Arsenal have set their sights on Viktor Tsygankov and Miguel Gutierrez, according to Caught Offside. The Girona duo have been in fine form for the La Liga side of late and have turned heads in the Premier League.

The Gunners have assembled an enviable squad under Mikel Arteta and their recent transfer activity has received much praise. The north London side, however, are already looking to the future and have identified two positions they want to bolster in 2025.

Arsenal are keen to add more creativity to their roster and have identified Tsygankov as an option. The Ukrainian winger amassed eight goals and seven assists from 34 games across competitions last season for Girona.

A new left-back is also on the Gunners' agenda. Gutierrez has popped up on their radar and the north London side are likely to push for his services next year.

However, Arsenal will face competition from Liverpool for the duo. The Reds are looking to usher in a new era under Arne Slot, who took charge as Jurgen Klopp's successor this summer. With Mohamed Salah's future uncertain, the Merseyside club are already planning for attacking reinforcement.

Tsygankov has convinced the Liverpool hierarchy and they are already keeping him under close watch. The Reds also have their eyes on Gutierrez as a possible successor for Andy Robertson, who will turn 31 in March.

The two Premier League sides are all set to monitor the duo when Girona takes on Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Champions League group stage tie on Wednesday (September 18).

Could Arsenal or Liverpool successfully sign the Girona duo?

Arsenal and Liverpool have struggled to break Manchester City's recent stranglehold on the Premier League. There's very little margin for error in the title race right now, which is why both clubs are eager to make the right additions to their squad.

Viktor Tsygankov and Miguel Gutierrez could help in their plans and Girona will reportedly let them go for a combined fee of €70-75 million. It is believed that the La Liga duo are ready to move to the Premier League as well.

The Gunners have shown that they are willing to break the bank for the right players. The Merseyside club are also financially stable and could easily afford the asking price. A move could materialize in the winter transfer window, with Aston Villa also eyeing the two players with interest.
