Liverpool handed transfer boost as key target willing to leave European giants – Reports
Liverpool have reportedly been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouaméni. Of late, the Frenchman has been linked with an exit from Real Madrid, with top clubs interested in him, especially Premier League sides.
Liverpool have enjoyed an amazing start to the 2024-25 campaign as they currently sit at the summit of the Premier League and Champions League table. Despite their impressive run of form, the Reds still look poised to bolster their squad.
According to Football Espana, Liverpool have been told that Aurelien Tchouaméni could consider leaving Real Madrid in the January transfer window or next summer. The La Liga champions are looking to add new faces to their squad in 2025, but they’d have to part ways with some players first. The abovementioned source claims that Tchouaméni is considered dispensable by the Spanish giants.
This would come as music to the ears of the Merseyside giants, who were on the lookout for a defensive midfielder in the summer. The Reds tried to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad but the player decided to stay put at the Basque club.
In a recent report, Real Madrid were reportedly willing to part ways with Tchouaméni if they got a suitable offer for him. As per Football 365, Liverpool have been given the green light to make a proposal as Tchouaméni is said to be annoyed by boos directed at him by Real Madrid fans this month.
Liverpool could lose 31-year-old star due to lack of playing time – Reports
According to a report from Caught Offside, Liverpool defensive midfielder Wataru Endo is on the verge of becoming a wantaway player due to the lack of game time. The Japan international has had his playing time drastically reduced under new manager Arne Slot, which has consequently prompted him to weigh his options.
Endo moved to Anfield from VfB Stuttgart in 2023. While initially, he didn’t feature in the starting XI under Jurgen Klopp, he played a large chunk of matches as the season progressed.
But he has been an unused substitute in eight games across competitions this season. In Liverpool’s last match, a 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday, November 9, he only played three minutes.
AC Milan are reportedly interested in Endo due to his versatility and impressive displays.
