Liverpool launch £35m attack to sign 21-year-old Premier League star wanted by Manchester United: Reports
Liverpool are reportedly set to make a £35 million move for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, also wanted by Manchester United. As claimed by Spanish outlet Fichajes.net, the Reds have set their sights on the Hungary international as they look to bolster their backline.
Kerkez has been thoroughly impressive for Bournemouth since his reported £15.5 million switch to Dean Court in 2023 from Dutch outfit AZ. The 21-year-old has caught the eye with his work rate and ability to contribute while going forward and tracking back. Kerkez has so far made 44 appearances for the Cherries, having contributed with three assists.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United could do with reinforcements at left-back and Kerkez looks like a solid option for both clubs. Arne Slot has Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas as his options at left-back and has heavily rotated between the two.
Roberton has been integral to everything Liverpool have achieved over the last few years under Jurgen Klopp. Since his bargain £8 million move from Hull City in 2017, the Scotsman established himself as one of the best players in his position.
With 11 goals and 65 assists in 312 appearances for the Merseyside giants, Robertson has helped the Reds win eight trophies. However, the 30-year-old has shown signs of slowing down this season which is why Slot has often used Tsimikas ahead of the Scotland captain.
The Reds reportedly see Kerkez as the long-term successor to Robertson but face competition from their arch-rivals Manchester United. The Red Devils' two left-back options Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have both struggled with injuries, meaning Ruben Amorim could be desperate for a new left-back.
Manchester United set to rival Liverpool for Bundesliga star: Reports

Manchester United reportedly believe that Marmoush could be the lethal finisher they are desperately craving for.
