Liverpool ready to offer Kostas Tsimikas as part of swap deal to sign former Everton academy graduate: Reports
Liverpool are prepared to offer backup left-back Kostas Tsimikas as a make-weight in their attempt to bring ex-Everton man Antonee Robinson to Anfield, as per TBRFootball. The Reds are in the market for a new left-back, seeing as Andrew Robertson appears to be nearing the twilight of his career.
Fulham star and USMNT international Robinson was on the books of the blue half of Merseyside as an academy prospect, spending seven years with Everton. The 27-year-old moved to Wigan Athletic in 2019 before joining Fulham in 2020, where he has since blossomed into one of the finest left-backs in the Premier League.
TBR Football report that Liverpool are interested in Robinson and are prepared to offer Kostas Tsimikas to Fulham as part of a cash-plus-player deal. Fulham value their left-back at around £40 million, but the Reds hope that their offer of the Greek left-back will help them bring down the asking price.
Liverpool lead the way in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League this season, with Arne Slot constantly rotating his full-backs, in particular. Tsimikas has started in three of their four Champions League games, while also playing in six league games this season.
Antonee Robinson is on the radar of several of England's biggest teams and is expected to leave Fulham at some point despite signing a new contract until 2028 last year. The USMNT star will be keen to rack up silverware in his career, and a move to Anfield in January could help him with that.
