Liverpool ready to pay €50 million for 22-year-old forward as replacement for Mohamed Salah: Reports
Arne Slot's Liverpool are reportedly looking forward to signing Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi as Egyptian icon Mohamed Salah's replacement, according to German outlet BILD.
Liverpool superstar Salah has been receiving offers from Saudi Pro League clubs since the last couple of years. Last year, the Reds reportedly rejected a £150 million offer from Al-Ittihad for Mohamed Salah.
The star forward signed a three-year deal with the Anfield outfit in 2022 andhas entered the last year of his contract this summer. No offical decision has been made on Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool as it's been suggested by multiple reports that Reds are preparing a new deal for the Egyptian.
Nevertheless, the Reds have started shortlisting candidates for Salah's replacement. As per the aforementioned report, Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi is Liverpool's top choice. The German attacker joined Dortmund from RB Salzburg in July 2022.
Since then, the 22-year-old has made 74 appearances for the club, bagging 19 goals and 13 assists. During Dortmund's latest UEFA Champions League 7-1 win over Celtic on Wednesday, October 2, Karim Adeyemi scored a memorable hat-trick.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Canadian forward Jonathan David in the next summer transfer window from Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille. Apart from the Reds, Inter Milan, Arsenal, and Manchester United also have David on their transfer radar.
He joined Lille from Belgian side Gent in summer 2020. Since then, David has made 195 appearances for the senior team, bagging 92 goals and 20 assists across all competitions.
The Canadian forward was also linked with a move to the Premier League last season but he decided to stay at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
As per Inter Live, Liverpool and Inter Milan are among the clubs that are keen to sign Jonathan David in 2025. According to the aforementioned report, Milan are the frontrunners to sign the Canadian. However, Arne Slot's Liverpool also stand a fair chance of closing the deal for David with a €25 million offer.
Another Seria A club, Juventus are also interested in signing the 24-year-old. Meanwhile, Newcastle United are also expected to made a bid for Lille forward in 2025.
