Liverpool scouting EURO 2024 star whose contract expires this month - ReportsĀ

Liverpool are reportedly scouting Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who is representing France in Euro 2024. As reported by Sport Italia via The Boot Room, the Reds are considering a swoop for the 29-year-old who is set to become a free agent in a few days' time.

Rabiot's contract with Juventus expires at the end of this month and negotiations between the player and the Old Lady are not going well. The Bianconeri reportedly offered the Frenchman a new contract before the Euros and are disappointed to not get a response from the player.

As per the report, Rabiot's mother-cum-agent wants a big commission from Juventus to renew the contract. With the negotiations coming to a standstill, Liverpool are now exploring the possibility of signing the former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star on a free transfer.

Rabiot is hugely experienced at both club level and international level. He came through the youth ranks of PSG and made 227 appearances for the Parisian side, scoring 24 times while producing 14 assists.

Following a glorious stint at the Parc des Princes where he won 18 trophies, Rabiot joined Juventus in 2019 on a free transfer. He has been excellent for the Old Lady having made 212 appearances for the club so far.

The Liverpool target has won one Serie A title, two Italian Cups and one Italian Super Cup during his time at the Turin-based club. Capped 43 times for France, he has been a key player for Les Bleus as well and won the UEFA Nations League trophy in 2021.

Bukayo Saka hails Liverpool star and England teammate at Euro 2024

Arsenal and England attacker Bukayo Saka has hailed Trent Alexander-Arnold for what he brings to the team. The two players are currently representing England in the Euros.

England manager Gareth Southgate has so far used Alexander-Arnold in midfield rather than his usual right-back position in Euro 2024. Saka admitted that the Liverpool star's creativity makes attackers' lives easier. He said, as quoted by The Liverpool World:

"For us attackers, it's a joy to play with him. He's always looking forward, always looking behind and trying to threaten the backline. When he plays, the opposition is a bit scared. You never know where he can find the spaces, which pass he is going to play. He's definitely appreciated in the team."

Alexander-Arnold started both of England's games in the Euros so far but was taken off in both games. His displays for England have attracted plenty of criticism although he has delivered some moments of magic with his passing.
