Liverpool set to launch move to sign 23-year-old La Liga star next summer: Report

Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Takefusa Kubo in the upcoming summer transfer window. The 23-year-old Japanese forward is currently playing for Real Sociedad and his contract with the La Liga side is valid until the summer of 2029.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes.net, Liverpool are eyeing Takefusa Kubo for a potential transfer and are ready to offer €80 million for the right-winger.

Kubo, who joined Real Sociedad from Real Madrid in 2022, has been a prominent player for Real Sociedad in recent seasons. He has scored three goals in 16 appearances across competitions for the La Liga club so far this season.

With Liverpool head coach Arne Slot looking to strengthen his squad, especially in attack, Takefusa Kubo has been identified as a suitable option. The 23-year-old could replace Mohamed Salah on the right-wing, whose contract with the Reds expires next summer.

Overall, Takefusa Kubo has recorded 19 goals and 14 assists in 101 appearances across competitions for Real Sociedad. It remains to be seen if Liverpool make an official bid for the player when the transfer window opens.

Inter Milan reportedly interested in Liverpool's Federico Chiesa for loan transfer in January

Inter Milan are reportedly ready to sign Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa on loan in the January transfer window. The Italian forward arrived at Anfield from Juventus in August and has struggled with fitness issues since the switch.

Due to his fitness issues, Federico Chiesa has made only three appearances for the Reds while contributing with an assist so far this season. Among intense competition for places in the Reds' frontline, Chiesa could find it difficult to make into Arne Slot's first XI this season.

According to Tuttosport, Inter Milan are monitoring Chiesa's situation and are willing to make an offer to acquire the 27-year-old on a six-month loan in January.

While a loan to another club could help Federico Chiesa with consistency as well as improve his fitness for the upcoming season, it remains to be seen if the Fiorentina graduate joins the reigning Serie A champions in January.
