Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah ready to consider offer from European giants if contract talks with Reds fail: Reports

Mohamed Salah will reportedly consider a move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) if he fails to renew his contract at Liverpool. The Egyptian remains a target for Saudi Pro League sides as his contract runs out at Anfield.

As per a report in Masrawy (via Sport Bible), Salah is is a target for PSG but the forward's priority remains to extend his stay at Liverpool. The former Chelsea man is keen on staying in Europe, with PSG ready to pounce on any chance to lure him to France.

The Ligue1 side are looking to bring in a high-profile name to the club after losing Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar in the last 18 months. Two of them left after their contract expired, while they sold Neymar to Al-Hilal in 2023 for a reported €90 million fee.

A source has told Masrawy that the negotiations with Liverpool are at a standstill and are far from getting the pen to paper. The Egyptian is keeping his doors open and will hold talks with PSG when the January window opens. He will be in the final six months of his contract at Anfield and open to a pre-contract with foreign clubs for a summer move.

Al Hilal keen on getting Mohamed Salah from Liverpool amid PSG interest

Journalist Ben Jacobs has told TalkSPORT that Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are ready to make a massive offer to lure Mohamed Salah. He reported earlier this year that they want him for the FIFA Club World Cup next year and said:

"2025 is the target. Al Hilal is the club. The Saudi football federation will be taking FIFA up on this so-called exceptional window ahead of the Club World Cup. So they could in theory try and sign Salah between June 1 and 10, which means they're looking at him for not just the Saudi Pro League but for the Club World Cup."

Speaking to the English website again this week, he added:

"All signs are Saudi are going to come back in and if Salah is a free agent then naturally he can get a bigger sign-on fee. Liverpool want him to renew, Saudi are pushing hard. [Saudi Pro League sporting director] Michael Emenalo, who has a good relationship with Mo Salah, is leading the drive. So the only thing that's really changed is the club from Al Ittihad to Al Hilal and the expectation is that Saudi will make a big push."

Apart from Mohamed Salah, Liverpool have the contracts of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk to take care of as well. The two players are in the final months of their deal with the club, just like the Egyptian, and are yet to agree terms for a new contract.
